Rise Pilates Studio

Jade 🫶🏼

I'm Jade - owner of Rise Pilates Studio, and someone who knows firsthand what it means to need Pilates rather than just enjoy it. If you'd told me a few years ago that this would be my life, I'm not sure I'd have believed you.

I've been doing Pilates for over seven years, but my relationship with it really changed after I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. After a lumpectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, coming back to movement wasn't just physical - it was the thing that reminded me I was still in here. Then, when life handed me a period of significant personal change, Pilates became my anchor. The place I could go and just be in my body, without everything else crowding in.

Rise wasn't a business plan first. It was a feeling. I wanted to create a space that was genuinely mine, that I could shape into a real community - somewhere people actually want to be, not just somewhere they feel they should go.

I know what it feels like to want to move your body and be too embarrassed to walk through the door. I spent years feeling too self-conscious to walk into a gym, too aware of my body to enjoy moving it. That never leaves you - and it means I think about every single person who walks through the Rise door. I weighed 263lb, and the idea of exercising in front of other people felt impossible. That experience lives in the DNA of Rise. Every decision I make about this place comes back to one question: will everyone feel welcome here?

Whatever brought you through our door - you belong here.
